Experienced cabinet maker

Monkeywood is a specialist bespoke kitchen and furniture company dedicated to designing and crafting high-quality, custom pieces for residential clients. We pride ourselves on exceptional craftsmanship, premium materials, and attention to detail. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Cabinet Maker to join our workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality bespoke kitchens and furniture from technical drawings through to final assembly, ensuring excellent craftsmanship and precision throughout the process. Key Responsibilities • Manufacture bespoke kitchens, cabinetry, and custom furniture to a high standard. • Interpret technical drawings, cutting lists, and design specifications accurately. • Operate a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently. • Construct cabinets, doors, panels, and detailed joinery components. • Assemble and finish furniture ready for installation. • Work with a variety of materials including solid timber, veneers, MDF, and laminates. • Ensure all work meets company quality standards and client expectations. • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. • Collaborate with designers, project managers, and installation teams when required. • Assist with problem solving and improving workshop processes. Skills & Experience Required • Proven experience as a cabinet maker, furniture maker, or bench joiner. • Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials. • Ability to read and work from technical drawings and cutting lists. • Experience using woodworking machinery (panel saw, spindle moulder, edge bander, etc.). • High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong time management and organisational skills. Desirable Skills • Experience working in bespoke kitchen manufacturing. • Knowledge of veneering and finishing techniques. • CNC machine experience. • Installation experience.
